Kate's Blog

Follow me if you will as I try to navigate through the ups and downs of my world.

I'm writing this blog to help me make sense of all that has happened - from my diagnosis with non-Hodgkins lymphoma while pregnant with my third child in May 2008
, through to my reflections on chaotic family life as I try to pick up the pieces of my life again.

The kids are so small, and I'm working hard to keep us all safe and to stay in remission.

Stay with me - it won't be all doom and gloom I promise!

Seven Days and Counting

This time next week, I'll have dropped the kids with my mother and will be packing for our flight early Friday morning.

I CAN'T WAIT!

But I will miss Hattie especially. It's not favouritism, it's just that she's so small (nearly but not quite two). I hope she'll be ok - she'll wonder where I've gone whereas the others know. Should we take her with us? Surely not!

Still.

And as for the back ache - I'm still deliberating and kind of ignoring it until I decide. But, thanks for all your comments.....

Wow, I just realised that your mom is up in the region of Claude Jeremiah Greengrass.
And as to your notion on the youngest, most of her focus is on the other two.

When I had two small boys, one of whom I had just weaned, my mom came to look after them while my husband and I went on a five day trip. I was so worried about the little one missing me, not doing without me. When I called home after a few days my mom told me the baby was just fine - but the older one was very worried about me!

Have a good rest without the children - they will love being with Grandms and - lets face it - they will have a fantastic time on the beach with all that fresh air, they wont have much time to fret - they will drop into bed exhausted every night. Enjoy yourselves! x
