Tops of traffic lights
Our giraffe point of view delights us all.
Even me.
My children sliding through slush
Shrieking with pleasure
My delight turns to hassled irritation.
Short, sharp commands
Humourless.
And restless guilt
Annoyance with my churlish self
For the rest of the day.
Kate's Blog
Follow me if you will as I try to navigate through the ups and downs of my world.
I'm writing this blog to help me make sense of all that has happened - from my diagnosis with non-Hodgkins lymphoma while pregnant with my third child in May 2008, through to my reflections on chaotic family life as I try to pick up the pieces of my life again.
The kids are so small, and I'm working hard to keep us all safe and to stay in remission.
Stay with me - it won't be all doom and gloom I promise!

Find fifteen minutes of quiet time with your favorite hot beverage.
Umm...did you climb a traffic light? With your children watching? And a grumpy law man made you get down? Is this what happened?
Stupid grumpy law man.
The feelings of guilt will fade but the memory of delight will not.
See my comment on yesterday's post...
Poetry is good therapy - and tea, but I'm sure you know that already!
And chocolate. And wine. But most of all poetry!
Thanks you all!! Tracey - I was on the top of a double decker bus.... obviously!! Tried chocolate and wine last night. Was good!
Well, Kate, it was not obvious to me. But, I am sleep deprived. And American. There are probably many things that are not so obvious to me.
