Kate's Blog

Follow me if you will as I try to navigate through the ups and downs of my world.

I'm writing this blog to help me make sense of all that has happened - from my diagnosis with non-Hodgkins lymphoma while pregnant with my third child in May 2008
, through to my reflections on chaotic family life as I try to pick up the pieces of my life again.

The kids are so small, and I'm working hard to keep us all safe and to stay in remission.

Stay with me - it won't be all doom and gloom I promise!

Worry

I'm worried it's come back you see. Not with huge amounts of evidence to justify the terror, but just enough to produce unbearable anxiety. I've felt pretty rubbish for a few days now - maybe just a bug, maybe not......

kate...do you have anyone to talk to on a regular basis about the enormity of things you're dealing with. someone that could help you manage and sort out some of your feelings? you have such a heavy load, it's no wonder you feel awful. i don't want to even try to say that i understand how you are feeling, but in the last year i had some difficulties and the stress literally made me sick. you have to get rid of the anxiety...it bogs a person down. it's hard to be well when you are so worried.

i hope you are feeling better today!

Thanks, all of you.
Meghan - yes I have got someone to talk to which kind of helps on and off. I guess different things help at different times. Being with the kids is great but at times too poignant in a way. Just doing stuff and distracting myself sometimes helps too. And writing my blog is great! I know that these next couple of years will be tough but then hopefully it'll all get easier.
